Mrs. Margaret Jeffers

Mrs. Jeffers grew up in Basking Ridge, NJ moving to NH in 1982. She graduated from Eastern College in St. Davids, PA in 1978 with a BSW degree. She furthered her education with Library Science courses and master level education courses. Mrs. Jeffers taught kindergarten and preschool for 16 years opening and directing a Christian day care center for a local church.
Mrs. Jeffers is married to Bob Jeffers, Asst. Headmaster/ Athletic Director at MZCS. They have three grown children, their son recently graduating from MZCS.
Mrs. Jeffers finds joy in sharing the love of God with children as she helps them grow academically. She especially finds working with young children fun and rewarding.

Mrs. Gloria Anderson

Mrs. Anderson instills Biblical values and an appetite for healthy learning in each child she teaches. She helps makes a difference in their lives for years to come. She prides herself in positive reinforcement and the character development of each child, helping each student reach their fullest potential!
She received her degree, graduating "Magna Cum Laude" in Elementary Education from Notre Dame College in Manchester, NH and has also attended Eastern Nazarene College of Quincy, MA and European Nazarene Seminary of Schaffhawsen, Switzerland.
She has taught at Merrimack Christian Academy, Faith Christian Academy of Bedford, Grace Christian School of Merrimack, Community Christian Academy of Bedford, Amoskeag Christian School and our own Mount Zion.

Mrs. Marilyn Hughey
Grade 1 |
Mrs. Hughey grew up in Upper Arlington, Ohio. She attended Bob Jones University where she met her husband Philip. They were married in 1968. They have three grown married children Jennings, Daniel, and Sarah and four grandchildren.
She graduated from Notre Dame College with a BA degree in Child Development. She has been recognized by the NH Department of Education as a Highly Qualified Teacher. She has been at Mt. Zion since 2003. The Hugheys live in Manchester and are members at Southside Bible Fellowship Church. Her passions are teaching children and encouraging parents. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and scrap booking. |
Mrs. Kristen Henriques

Mrs. Henriques grew up in Mattapoisett, MA. She graduated from Westfield State College with a degree in psychology. She also spent a semester abroad studying in Eastbourne, England.
After working professionally for a few years, she decided to pursue a post baccalaureate/masters program in elementary education at Bridgewater State College. She has been teaching since 1993 in both Christian and public schools. Mrs. Henriques currently lives in Hampstead, NH with her husband Scott and two daughters. Ingrid and Kate attend Mt. Zion. Mrs. Henriques attends Fellowship Bible Church in Methuen, MA and plays flute in the church orchestra. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, reading, music, and gourmet eating. |
Miss Bev Hale

Miss Hale was born in Iowa, moved to Seattle, Washington, and then to N.H. She graduated from Gordon College with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and from Notre Dame College with a Masters of Education. She has received her Highly Qualified Teacher Certification from the NH Department of Education. Her home is in Manchester. She heard God's call on her life to become a teacher and taught in a public school for nine years. During her devotional time, she knew God was calling her to serve in the Christian school movement, where she has been teaching since 1989. Miss Hale attends Goffstown Harvest Christian Church and volunteers in the church's bookstore. She loves serving the Lord and spending precious time with Him each day. Teaching children has been a part of her heart for many years. She enjoys gathering with her family once a week to eat and socializing with friends. Reading is her favorite past time. |
Miss Carol Waring

Miss Waring was born in Meadville, PA, and grew up in the beautiful PA countryside, along with two sisters and one brother. She has worked in education since 1978. She moved to NH in 1985, to teach in a Christian school after seven years in the public school venue. In all, she has taught grades 1-8, and several special education classes throughout the years.
She attended Slippery Rock State College in Pennsylvania and majored in Special Education, with a minor in Elementary Education. Miss Waring is blessed to be teaching grade 4 again this year. Miss Waring currently lives in Manchester, NH, and attends South Main Street Church in Manchester. Eating out, talking to friends, and playing the piano (for herself) are always pleasurable activities. She has an especial love of reading. Favorite genres are historical fact or fiction and mystery or murder "How Done Its". Her favorite subjects to teach are Bible and history. |
Mrs. Karen April

Mrs. April was born in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She grew up in Litchfield, NH with her mom, dad and four brothers and sisters. Mrs. April attended Keene State College where she studied business management and computer science obtaining degrees in both disciplines. Tutoring and teaching others has always been an area where she has been involved. She re-entered the educational field in 2004. Mrs. April currently lives in Auburn, NH with her husband Dave and has 3 daughters who attend Mount Zion. Mrs. April attends First Assembly of God Church in Auburn, NH. Family time is very important to Mrs. April who spends time with her family by camping, skiing, swimming and hiking. Teaching Bible and practical Christianity to her students is her favorite thing to do. |
Mrs. Deb Silver

Mrs. Silver grew up in Ashaway, RI. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Food and Nutrition from Framingham State College in MA. Mrs. Silver worked in the dietetics field for several years before taking time off to have her two daughters. During this time she and her husband, Mike also moved to NH and reopened the Deering Conference Center as a Christian family camping and retreat center She has had a life long interest in wellness, physical fitness, and competitive sports and continues to enjoy them through a variety of venues. She also enjoys reading, cooking, bible study, and spending time at home with her family. Mrs. Silver attends Bedford Community Church where she is actively involved with Women's Ministry. |
